The summer honors program fosters a joy of 学习ing through creativity and an appreciation for other cultures; students live the 阿尔布开克学院 经验 through academically challenging courses that encour年龄 critical thinking and problem-solving and make 阿尔布开克学院 a nationally renowned institution.

Full Scholarships Available for All Participants

Our commitment to this principle in the summer honors program is demonstrated in the full scholarships for the first five periods, 8:10 a.m.-1:30 p.m., 星期一至星期五, that we will provide to all accepted scholars regardless of their financial circumstances.

如果你对全天课程感兴趣, all scholars also are invited and encour年龄d to register for classes during the 1:30-3:30 p.m. block, extending the program to a full day of 学习ing and exploration. What do students do at the 多元文化暑期荣誉课程?

Summer honors students are introduced to 阿尔布开克学院 through academically challenging courses that not only encour年龄 critical thinking and problem-solving strategies but also enhance and refine each student’s proficiency in core academic subjects. Classes are kept small to facilitate student-teacher interaction and to give students the opportunity to receive individual attention.

• 艺术中的文化: 学生学习印第安人, 非裔美国人, 拉美裔, and other cultures from a unique anthropological perspective that emphasizes hands-on projects and the joy of creative self-expression. This course deepens students’ awareness of their own cultures while encouraging them to grow in their understanding of other cultures.
• 数学 & 科学: Students receive grade and/or skill-appropriate enrichments in these areas.
• 写作,阅读 & 文学研讨会: Based on the highly successful National Writing Project and Six Traits of Writing models, this workshop emphasizes reading and writing as integrated activities to develop independent writers.
